Continuously improving our Quality Management System
All our products are made based on the latest scientific knowledge, in line with regulatory and food safety requirements. We hold GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) recognized certification and comply as well with our own stringent Danone standards. We perform internal and external audits throughout the value chain to assess compliance with standards and drive continuous improvement. A horizon scanning process, supported by trusted external data and filtered by our internal food safety experts, detects and assesses potential upcoming food safety issues.
Culture of quality
At Danone, we strive for a culture where people care deeply about consumers, patients and customers, and about the quality of their work. This approach makes our jobs more personally fulfilling, improves efficiency, and drives consumer satisfaction. Through our iCare program, we continuously engage our Danoners to "live quality at all times" by placing the consumer at the center of everything we do. This means consistently putting quality in action at every level, and recognizing those who raise concerns or make proposals to improve quality.
Leveraging external expertise and collaborations
Danone's food safety and quality experts collaborate with stakeholders, peers, and academic institutions to identify emerging food safety risks and develop solutions. For example, since 2019, our partnership with the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization for the United Nations) has raised awareness of trends like new food contact materials and allergen risks. By leveraging our external network, Danone co-develops strategies and technologies to ensure the continued safety of our products for consumers.
