General: Building on decades of research and scientific expertise in health and nutrition, we are uniquely placed to help consumers and patients maintain and support their health through nutritious foods and sustainable healthier eating and drinking choices. 

We offer tasty, delicious products and strive to maintain consumer preference whilst delivering high nutritional quality. In 2022, 88% of Danone's global product portfolio was rated as health (≥3.5 stars) by the Health Star Rating system.

Sugar Reduction: By offering tasty, decliious, healthier foods we can contribute to addressing the overconsumption of added sugar, especially among children. Building on our overall healthy product portfolio and through our Danone Impact Journey targets, we continuously reduce added sugar in our products for children. 

Reformulation:  We strive to maintain consumer preference while improving the nutritional quality of our products. Our approach of continuous improvement through step-by-step reformulation enables us to take into account local contexts and consumer needs and expectations. We look at each product in an integral way, defining minimum levels for nutrients to encourage and reducing the content of  nutrients to limit relevant to their food categories and target population.

Health Star Rating (HSR) System: We use the internationally recognized, government-endorsed Health Star Rating (HSR) system at global level to report on the global nutritional quality of our portfolios and as a reference for our commitments and policies.
